Welcome

We believe that Christian art is a product of being spiritually engaged as you create. Our intent is to guide you in developing a timeless piece that carries your emotion and tells about your faith.

Cana Gallery intents to allow gallery guests and class participants — both youth and adults — to have a spiritually transforming experience in the Arts. While Cana of Galilee is where Jesus performed His first miracle of changing water in to wine, it also stands for Christian Art Networking Alliance. We promote both traditional and non traditional types of faith-based art. Don’t hold back if you have never created anything. We encourage you to register for a class. We will help you dwell on an inspiring part of your faith, feel the emotion and create.

Dec 10: Book Signing

When I Die – On Being, Living, and Having the Last Word Camille Rodriquez Tate Publishing & Enterprises, LLC   “If you could attend your own funeral and listen to what is said about you, what would you hear? Are the memories you’re leaving reflective of the legacy you’re building? What is your exit strategy?” A new book, written by Camille Rodriquez, asks this very question. Looking at life through the lens of a funeral, Mrs. Rodriquez, challenges readers to look at life with the end in mind. Camille Rodriquez, author, homeschooler, owner of a social media marketing company, and mother of four children, was inspired to write this devotional based on the funerals she has attended over the years. “In every funeral I’ve attended, I’ve learned something new about the person I was there to honor. What inspired me though, was the thought that if I had learned something new, then I imagined others had, too. If we all shared our stories, would we have known that friend any better? That made me think about the people in my life, and what they might say about me at my funeral years from now.” When I Die encourages readers to look at the relationships in their own lives to see what it says about their priorities and their living. Dotted with humor and anecdotes, the book takes a lighter tone than you might imagine, yet makes thought-provoking statements about accountability and intentional decision making.  Glenn Smith, founder and president of New Church Initiatives, Inc. says, “What an enlivening adventure to read Camille’s book.  She speaks from the heart and takes you on a journey deep into the human experience.  By beginning with an exit strategy, she helps us to discover how to live a full and meaningful life.  Her transparency and wit are refreshing and inspiring.” When I Die would make an excellent choice for any church or Bible study group, as well as for personal enrichment. There is a companion Reflection Journal, also authored by Camille Rodriquez, only available through book signings and venues where she speaks.   For more information: Website:   http://camillerodriquez.com Facebook:   http://www.facebook.com/WhenIDie.Book Email:   Camille Rodriquez,  Camille@joyabides.com Camille Rodriquez is a wife and mother who has served in ministry for more than a decade with her husband. Jul 05 : Art Show

“When You Believe”
Show opens July 5, 2011

There are many ways to look at the theme, “When You Believe”. You could artistically explore the wonder of feeling God’s love, being ridiculed by friends or the strong desire to share Jesus with others. When someone believes, many things can happen to them: Some strive to live better lives, become missionaries to help others and some are subjected to barbaric persecution.

Today, it is illegal to carry a Bible in over 50 countries – in Saudi Arabia; it is illegal to celebrate Christmas. Christianity as whole is under attack in certain parts of the world. Recently there was a brutal attack carried out in a Catholic Cathedral in Iraq. A total of 58 people died, including the priest. In Egypt, there was a suicide bombing in a Coptic Christian church in Alexandria – resulting in the unfortunate loss of 23 people.

These are examples of how courageous one must be as a Christian, to stand firm in faith. Christians living in the Western world are very blessed and fortunate to have freedom of religion. Many become missionaries to provide a safe environment for Christians around the world. On July 5th the “When You Believe” art show will be up and running for people to stop by and explore current events for Christians, depicted in various art forms. We encourage all participants to be mindful of the many ways one can live for the Lord, and how we must stand united through Him, with Him and in Him.

Sep 06 : Art Show

“Your Heart Redeemed”
Show opens Sept 06, 2011
This is your chance to visually talk about the “heart”. Scripture says, David was a man after God’s own heart. Have you every thought about the heart of God? We know that our heart is the seat of who we truly are. One can have a pure heart, grieved heart, humble heart, glad, heavy, brave, cleansed, stubborn, hard, perverse – but wouldn’t it be an accomplishment to give God your whole heart…to whole heartedly seek God. Show us what is written on the tablet of your heart. The people of the world are all God’s children, rich or poor, short or tall – we are all loved equally by God. We may ask ourselves why some are born different than others, but God has a plan for all of his children. Some of the most important missions are given to those with disabilities. Whether they are physically or mentally disabled, God wants the very best for his children. Many of the most gifted artists had some form of mental illness; however, that certainly did not undermine their creative abilities. In many cases, their conditions allowed them explore creativity beyond the normal level. It is no easy task for parents to raise children with disabilities, but we encourage a chance to let their children explore their creativity through art. This art show (opening on September 6th) will feature talented works of all kids on the subject of disability, acceptance and understanding, while remaining hopeful that soon the Lord will heal us all. We would like for everyone in the community to show us what you are inspired to create after a scripture study on heart. Make sure to visit our Cana Gallery on Facebook for details.
